Why Some Marketers Are Psychics

Why Some Marketers Are Psychics

Psychic marketingWhy is it that successful marketers and online entrepreneurs seem to have this virtual “6th sense” when it comes to pinpointing hot, hungry, and highly profitable markets they can sell products to?

We see this again and again and again.

They seem to have this “Midas touch” when it comes to selling online. Any product they launch sells like gangbusters. Every promotion they do balloons their bank accounts. Every new market they enter becomes a surefire winner.

But ask them how they tap these hidden goldmines with an almost impeccable accuracy, and the likely response you will get is, “I don’t know, it just feels right.”

There’s a reason.

(Stay with me, because in a moment I’m going to show you how you can do this yourself, and you don’t have to be psychic or shell out a lot of money!)

Top marketers do what is often referred to as “viability research.” They want to know:

  • Is there a market out there with a need yet to be fulfilled?
  • Is that market identifiable, accessible, and above all, profitable?
  • Is there a product or solution that can satisfy that need?
  • Can they quickly and easily turn that need into a burning desire?
  • And more importantly, will it sell in spite of the competition?

Bottom line, is the market viable?

My beautiful wife, Sylvie Fortin, owns a company called Workaholics4Hire. For years her company served many of the top marketers. In fact, that’s how we met. I wrote copy for the same top marketers who hired her for outsourcing work.

Guess what’s her most sought-after service?

Aside from customer support and content development, top marketers have hired her company to conduct “Viability Research.” Yes, this intuitive skill top marketers seem to have in “prospecting for gold” online.

(An important caveat: “viability research” is not just your standard keyword research. In fact, keyword research is only a small piece of the puzzle.)

In our latest multimedia training product for instance, we offer hundreds of tutorials and streaming lessons that talk about making money online in just four simple steps:

  1. Viability
  2. Sourcing
  3. Website
  4. Marketing

The first step, “Viability,” is the most important one of all.

Why? Because if you ignore, skip over, or fail to carry out this important first step, then the rest of the formula falls down the tubes. Not only that, but you run a much greater risk of failing — and losing a lot of money and time in the process.

(If you do succeed by simply guessing your way online, it’s going to be a matter of luck. At best, you won’t be successful for very long, or you’re going to be stuck with a lot of refunds. Or both.)

In Success Chef, my wife discusses, in painstaking (yet practical) detail, the step-by-step process of conducting proper viability research.

Yes, I did say “proper,” because there’s a good way to do it and a bad way. A lot of people do it poorly, backwards, or incompletely.

(For example, many people will simply stop at keyword research thinking that, if a keyword is highly searched for, then there is a demand. Nothing can be further from the truth. What about competition? What about the way people want the product?)

The key behind conducting proper viability research is to answer three mission-critical questions. The first two are the easiest. (Even so, a lot of people still ignore them.) The third one is just as important if not more so.

So what are these three key questions?

  1. Who is your market?
  2. What do they want?
  3. And how do they want it?

Those are the questions you must ask yourself, and the questions proper viability research answers for you — and oftentimes, a whole lot more!

Imagine the amount of money, work, and frustration you save yourself when you answer these questions, especially before you launch your next product…

Imagine being able to launch any product or any marketing promotion knowing full well that it’s going to sell like hotcakes and make you a lot of money…

Imagine finding new things about your existing market you never knew about, which enables you to sell more, more often, and more effectively to them…

In Success Chef, my wife explains the exact, same process she goes through when her company does viability research for her top marketing clients.

Success Chef University is currently selling for $2,997, but you don’t have to shell out close to three grand to learn about this important first step.

Not even a hundred bucks!

Today, we’ve unofficially launched our first in a series of “cookbooks,” entitled: Marketing E.S.P.: How to Pinpoint Hot, Hungry, and Highly Profitable Markets.

What will “Marketing E.S.P.” do for you?

Success Chef Cookbooks are a series of lessons that explains some of the core concepts taught in Success Chef University. “Marketing E.S.P.” explores the most critical component in Success Chef’s famous four-step process.

And that’s “viability.”

This cookbook explains, in plain English, exactly how these top marketers do it. Finally, someone has translated this seeming “psychic ability” top marketers have, and put it into a series of step-by-step, streaming video lessons anyone can follow.

(Now you know why my wife’s company has been the “secret weapon” behind many of these top marketers for so many years!)

In Marketing E.S.P.‘s cookbook, we show you how to discover viable markets that can make you a lot of money, how to determine if your existing market (or product) is indeed viable, and how to sell more (and more effectively) to existing markets.

Because viability is more than just finding out…

  • The right markets,
  • The right products for them, and
  • The right ways to give it to them.

Proper viability research also allows you to…

  • Discover new, hungry and profitable markets.
  • Locate your best, underserved markets for your products.
  • Exploit profit opportunities hidden deep inside your market.
  • Find or create new products you can sell them or monetize.
  • Plug costly leaks that are sucking your business dry.
  • Create new delivery systems to maximize your profits.
  • Duplicate your efforts quickly, easily and economically.
  • Save loads of time knowing you have the right market.
  • Ensure each product you sell is successful from the start.
  • Focus on what works, and dump what doesn’t.
  • And much, much more!

Here’s an example of what proper viability can do for you…

Marketing E.S.P. offers you the exact same strategies top marketers use. In fact, when you claim your copy of this vital course, you get a total of:

  • Seven (7) major lessons covering the four (4) steps:
    • Finding hungry markets;
    • Determining popularity;
    • Spying on your competition;
    • And understanding demand.
  • 11 sub-lessons, with 2–3 per step (18 in all), such as:
    • Vertical market research;
    • Horizontal market research;
    • Multi-dimensional research;
    • And much, much more!
  • 17 streaming video tutorials (4.6 hours in all).
  • Three (3) simple homework assignments.
  • Seven (7) helpful illustrations and guides.
  • Lists of hundreds of resources and tools.
  • Three (3) fill-in-the-blank templates with examples.
  • And a copy-and-paste calculator (spreadsheet).

If you’re interested in gaining this almost “psychic ability” to pinpoint highly profitable markets online, and how to do it right so that every new market you enter, every new product you launch, and every new promotion you make is a surefire winner, then you need Marketing E.S.P.

Again, you don’t have to pay the $2,997 lifetime member tuition for the full Success Chef University to access this powerful cookbook. For a limited time, we’re offering it for a very low price of just $97.

We plan on launching future cookbooks just like this one, but we will be pricing them at $197 each. So if you want to take advantage of this one at such a low price, you better hurry and claim your access to this amazing course now.

  • Hey Michel,

    I love it... - "Marketing E.S.P."

    Very cool...

  • Michel,

Great post! I constantly hear people talking about this idea and that idea. The next thing is the size of the market. I usually keep my mouth shut because I don't want to be the naysayer, but I always think... is it viable? Great lessons.
  • Michael,

Great article really good! You got it, can I have some? (ESP that is)

    I always love your work.

  • Would this fit main-stream, off-line businesses?
  • @Kammy Thurman - Great question! Yes, absolutely! Understanding the deep desires of your market applies to ANY type of business. It literally either makes our breaks your project.

Most top marketers have an "intuition" about what their market wants.

Marketing ESP is the science behind the intuition. It's an advanced method for dissecting your market, your competition, and your product's value, BEFORE you ever spend a dime on development.

Essentially, it breaks down the intuitive mental process into a step by step easy to follow formula you can apply to any and all new products you choose to develop or promote.

It applies to "other people's products" too, both online and offline.

Again, this is the process you must go through before deciding what your product offerings should be.

    It is that critical. :)
  • Great stuff, I'm sold! Research is the name of the game for internet marketing now. Finding the top marketers and 'borrowing' their ideas and techniques will get you to the top so much faster. There is no reason to re-invent the wheel, follow the success foot prints!

I just Joined SuccessChef.com's affiliate program, but it does not state the comission % that affiliates get paid. BTW, I'd never seen a product owner providing blog posts with affiliate links embedded, like you (Michael & Sylvie) do. Interesting, to say the least!

Does my affiliate info work for the new Marketing E.S.P course?
  • @Paulo Roldan - It's 50%. Not sure I understand what you mean by this, though: "I'd never seen a product owner providing blog posts with affiliate links embedded." Are you talking about my products? Or products I recommend?
  • This is very good sound information. Itis essential to have this skill if one wants to be successful all the time. Thanks for making this article and creating a product to fulfill it.

  • I purchased the "Marketing ESP" course a few days ago and am real imporessed so far. There is a TON of useful information in here, it must have taken you 6 months just to create all the great videos. For the price you are charging, i've already gotten my value (and I'm only 1/2 way through it). I'll post back in here once I finish everything and give my final review. But so far, I've got to say, this is great stuff and I'm real impressed.

    Byron Walker http://www.UltimateResultsNow.com
  • @Byron Walker - Thanks, Byron! We're impressed by your comment. We really appreciate the feedback. I'll let Sylvie know ASAP, since it's really her "baby."
  • @Byron Walker - Thanks Byron! That means a great deal to me. Actually, it took me nearly 9 months to develop this one cookbook, and I'll explain why...

I knew there was tons of infoproducts in the market that grazed the surface of Viability and keyword research, but as hard as I searched, I could not find anything that came close to demonstrating what is, to all top marketers, an "intuitive" process.

    Let's take two people...

Both have been online for the exact same period of time.
Both have read and consumed the exact same number of infoproducts on how to choose their niche.
Both own the exact same keyword research tools.

Yet one makes 2+ million online each year, and growing, while the other can't get ONE product off the ground yet.

    What is the missing ingredient?

    Understanding how your market THINKS

And that is a subjective experience. Very difficult to quantify and make formulaic so that anyone, no matter what level of expertise they have, can pick up the ball and run with it.

You need to understand the truth about choosing a target market, analyzing competition correctly (most never teach this part correctly), and the most important part is understanding WHO your market is and exactly HOW they want to get their product...what they expect from you...and what will make them crave your product offerings.

The toughest part about the whole thing was the months of research and scientific analysis of how to interpret demographic and psychographic data.

There are hundreds of scientific studies into this topic, and trust me, they are BORING! :)

I had to read and study all of it to come up with the right formula as it applies to internet marketers.

Once you understand the process of Marketing ESP, you can easily do it in one single afternoon, and it becomes second nature.

Once it is second nature, you will never again create a product your market isn't interested in, and you will profit from everything you do.

Again, Byron, I thank you. We thrive on compliments, but the most important thing to me is to be certain that our efforts are not in vain, and that what we deliver is truly useful to our customers. Hearing feedback like this keeps me going. :)
  • Success Chef Cookbook #1 on Viability and Marketing is so easy to use and so content rich for the price. Even though I have heard Sylvie and you at several seminars, this just cooks.
Thank you for the value and your work at creating it. Sylvie rocks!!
  • Well thank you so much, Rob! I can't wait to hear how much more you are able to earn applying it. Those are the kinds of case studies I absolutely love. :)
  • Hey Michel, great post. The ESP marketing concept is powerful. I mean, having the technique to know what is HOT and will sell or not sell is powerful, that's how millionaires are made...

Hi, Michel. Thanks for your reply. What I meant is the fact that when you get inside success chef's affiliate members area you are provided with blog posts that help you promote sc products.
  • There's plenty of information out there but it usually just stops at keyword research. This course sounds amazing, but do you guys have any info about if it works in the UK.

I'd guess it does because it's techniques on discovering markets, rather than guidance on the markets themselves, but the UK and US have completely different mindsets when it comes to sales and marketing!

great marketing Michel. Love your stuff!
  • @John Waston - Great question. :)

Yes, what marketing ESP teaches applies globally, regardless of location. It teaches fundamental concepts that help you define your market's mindset more clearly, and helps you humanize your market.

It's about understanding what people want and what drives people to want some products over others. No matter where they come from. :)
  • Marketers Are Psychics because they:

    1. Learn a new thing every day
    2. Do Mistakes
    3. Learn from their mistakes
    4. Keep on crafting their skills
    5. Ispire others with their great experience
    6. Always have Plan "B"
    7. Read between the lines
    8. Know how to listen to others
    9. Determined
    10. Focused

..The list is quite endless, gosh, I always enjoy reading your posts!

    Thanks Michel!
  • For anyone 'on the fence' about purchasing this course, i can assure you it is well worth the money. I have personally bought it and am almost done going through the course. It is a lot of great information including step by step examples and even homework that you need to do on finding niche markets.

My company specializes in finding the most profitable niches and then marketing them online. This course has given me a lot of new tools and ideas to use. If you aren't sure what niche product you want to promote, this is a course you need to get.

    Byron Walker http://www.UltimateResultsNow.com
  • Wow, I'm glad I found out about this site. That looks like a great product, I'm sure it's awesome. I learned a lot just from this post!

    Thanks Mike!

  • Great Post Michel,
I look forward to following your blog.

    Keep it flowing:-)

    Rheyanna
  • I just finished the ESP course. Great stuff! I took 4-5 pages of notes and have already put the information to use. I'm an 'affiliate marketer' and so I'm always searching out the top niches (most profitable and in demand).

The ESP course is packed full of great ideas and resources. The step by step processes and check lists are easy to follow and let you take a particular niche and drill down to see if you should market it. Once you have learned this much about a niche, it also becomes much easier to market in that niche because you've seen what all the competition is doing and the best strategies to use.

I recommend this to anyone doing affiliate marketing. I'd also say that anyone who has their own product should go through this course - it will validate that your niche is a good one to be in and show you how all your competition is marketing their products.

  • Michael,

I'm new to the blogging community. I had to respond to your post because I am a PSYCHIC and yes, I'd say marketers are natural psychics!

I've been following your site for a couple of months now. In fact you were one of my main inspirations to launch my blog americasintuitioncoach.com

I'm reading so many new things here that don't yet make sense to me. It's a whole new world for me.

I'll be following you closely and absorbing every tip I can.

I love how your facebook account is set up. You are definitely visionary and leading the way, love it!

    Thanks,
    Joanna

p.s. my new book "Unleash The Psychic In You" launches September 1, 2008 I hope you'll read it, develop that marketing ESP a little more : ) respect.
  • Are there transcripts of some kind, or is there a least a lot of bullet points to figure out things from? I'm deaf so if it's pure audiovisual, I'm worried about being left in the dark.

    Thanks.
  • @Burton Kent - Hey Burton

Yes, transcripts are included, for your convenience. :)

    Sylvie
  • Really great post. Always a pleasure to read your blog :)
  • hello michel,

1st off - i'm a big fan and i get a lot out of your blog - thank you!

i know you're a fanatical tester, so i was just wondering something - have you found a greater response using the 2 unrelated analogies of cooking and esp as opposed to just one of them?

personally i'm very visual learner, so i grab onto concepts much easier when there is a illustration or picture involved. however, i'm also a bit "a.d.d." as well, and to me, using them so close together in thought seems a bit distracting - but again that's just me.

i'd love to hear your thoughts?
