Web 2.0 And Multimedia Copywriting Seminar
I want to tell you about a few upcoming events that might interest you, one of which I am personally putting on with another top copywriter. (Plus, I need your feedback and possibly your help.)
First off, a little backstory.
After my recent report, The Death of The Salesletter, and other reports like "The Death of Internet Marketing" by Mike Filsaime and "The Rebirth of Internet Marketing" by John Reese, I received quite a few requests.
Specifically, and since we talked about increasing popularization of Web 2.0, audio, and video (and multimedia in general), and how they are growing in the online sales experience, people have asked me over and over again:
"Michel, how do you write copy for audio and video?"
Well, you’re in for a treat…
On the weekend of November 10th, 2007, I will be co-hosting a very special intensive seminar in Los Angeles, possibly at the LAX Hilton.
Tentatively called the "Maximum Money-Making Multimedia Mastery" seminar, it will deal specifically with writing copy for multimedia and on the web, including online audio, video, podcasts, Internet radio, blogs, social sites, and of course, Web 2.0.
I’m not only a co-host but also a speaker, along with one of the best audio copywriters in the world today (who’s written million-dollar radio ads, among others), Dan O’Day.
Dan has a vast well of experience and knowledge in writing successful copy for the radio industry. He probably knows more about writing for audio than anyone else in the world.
Other speakers we plan on inviting include Brian Clark of CopyBlogger (copywriting for blogs), Jim Edwards (webinar strategies), Mike Stewart (podcasts and video tools), Armand Morin (product creation with multimedia), and perhaps more.
I’ll keep you up to date once we get these confirmed. If you have a suggestion for a speaker you would like to see, particularly when it comes to copywriting for multimedia, please comment below.
In the meantime, we need your help.
We need some samples to work with, particularly to conduct reviews and use them as case studies for the seminar. (And you’ll benefit from the free critique!)
So my question is, do you have audio and video somewhere you would like to submit for review? If you use online audio or video in any form — e.g., welcome message, tour, podcast, audio or video blog (i.e., vlog), sales pitch, product description, offer, etc — please feel free to reply to this posting in the comments section below with the URL to your audio or video.
You’ll enjoy some immediate new traffic, and we’ll add your site to our list of those we plan to check out as part of our research — to make sure we don’t miss anything great that we don’t know about as well as to hear good things that can be improved upon.
On the topic of seminars, I’m just about ready to leave for Philadelphia to speak at Ken McArthur’s JVAlertLive.com. This is not your standard Internet marketing seminar. It’s particularly focused on the power of creating and profiting from joint ventures.
It’s a seminar that’s well-suited for those new to the Internet marketing game, or those looking at expanding their online income.
Plus, the format of this seminar is a little different than most. The pinnacle of this event is its "hotseat sessions," where we critique actual businesses and answer real challenges from attendees. (Ken prefers to call it the "idea factory," and once you come you’ll soon realize why!)
You would be amazed at the people that are in this group. Speakers are not just well-known, top-shelf marketers. Some of them don’t seek the limelight much but quietly make thousands of dollars online, under the radar.
For more details, check out the website. (And yes, I will be talking about video, Web 2.0, and copywriting for new media, as well.)
On a similar note, you might remember this: last month, I did a very special teleseminar with billion-dollar copywriter, Clayton Makepeace, specifically about blogging and making money with Web 2.0.
It was called "Blogging for Dollars" for Clayton’s EasyWriters Club members. We talked about the power of blogging, how to make money blogging, and how to use blogs as a powerful, proactive sales and marketing tool — or even as a business itself.
Well, so many people raved about it, they clamored for a follow-up session. (I’m not kidding. Clayton forwarded me a few of the emails he received, and people were screaming for another session!)
And so, back by popular demand, here it is: the 2nd part of "Blogging for Dollars" will happen this week, on Thursday at 12:00 noon.
Again, this is for Clayton’s EasyWriters Club’s members. But just like last time, Clayton is allowing my members, clients, and subscribers — yes, that’s you! — to attend the teleseminar at no charge whatsoever.
Plus, you can even give his copywriting club a try for just $4.95 (that’s only a fraction of what Clayton’s current members are paying).
Did you miss our first call together? No worries. We are including the 1st session, in MP3 format, for free after the signup — and that’s whether you sign up to attend the event for free, or if you indulge in the $4.95 EasyWriters Club trial membership. But places are limited, as there are only so many lines. (And this one is sure to be packed!)
