Three Simple Wishes For 2007

New Year's ResolutionsAs the holidays are fast approaching, I took some time this week to reflect on all the things for which I’m grateful this year. And there are many.

From marrying my Soul Mate and dealing with breast cancer, to taking my businesses to a new level and reconnecting with people I’ve missed terribly, 2006 was an amazing and event-filled year.

I’ve grown a lot this year. And I’ve been blessed to have you, dear reader, to remind me of what’s truly important any time of the year. But above all, I’ve learned a lot this year, too.

I’ve learned to love again. I’ve learned the meaning of true friendship. I’ve learned to be strong. I’ve learned indescribable wisdom. I’ve learned to be more compassionate. I’ve learned the power of forgiveness. And I’ve learned what it truly means to be loved, in spite of all your wrinkles and warts.

(Believe it or not, the last one was the biggest kicker for me.)

A new year is not a time to be merry. It should never be. It is a time to remind us of all the things that make us happy in the first place, and all the things in the previous year that taught us how to be happy — including the challenging times.

As Wayne Dyer once said, while quoting another spiritual leader, “There is no way to happiness, happiness is the way.” For some reason, this quote particularly resonates with me at this time of the year, and more than any other time in my life.

In a popular forum, I was asked what are my resolutions for 2007. My answer is quite simple. It’s not exercising, dieting, quiting an undesirable habit or achieving some lofty goal. It’s merely comprised of three simple things:

Earn more. Work less. Enjoy better.

It is my sincere hope they are true for you, too, whether or not they are part of your own set of new year’s resolutions.

May your new year be blessed with peace and prosperity, health and happiness, love and laughter, and more. May you have the best year ever, and may every single day in 2007 be a reminder of all the things that make you happy. Even the little things.

Thank you for being a part of my life.

I only came across you on the internet barely six months ago,and within the period I have learned a lot about copywriting from you. I thank you particularly, for giving all you know to teach people how to succeed. This is a great virtue.
I am also touched by the passionate love you have for your wife Sylvie.
You are a wonderful person to come across, and it will be great to learn and copy your attributes.
Wishing you the best in the new year.

I'm looking for my personal mantra for next year, that just might be it.
  • Michel,
The more I get to know you, the more I realize...

You are more than a copywriting mentor and master, you are also a valuable source of "inspiration" for all who have ears to hear.

There is magical passion in your words and in your heart... It shows in everything you do.

I've just discovered why I've come to love this blog so much...
It's a plethora of information on "every level".

  • Hi Michel,

I have been reading your blog with great interest for some time and you and Sylvie make a lot of sense to me.

I love the way you have shared. You and Sylvie are very passionate people and I had the privelege of meeting you both and enjoying your presentation at the World Internet Summit at Wembley UK in June of last year now.

I hope 2007 brings you all that you desire. Have a good...one!
  • Hi Michel,

Wayne Dyer always has some great food for thought, doesn't he?

"Earn more. Work less. Enjoy better."
  • Hello Michel,
Your wishes are timely. Many of us get too wrapped up in work to live life.
It is good to be reminded from time to time to be happy about being alive. I wish you and Sylvie a happy and prosperous 2007.

    All the best,
