The Science Of Getting Rich

Wallace WattlesThe Science Of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Wattles is a timeless classic written many years ago. Over a century ago, in fact.

But it's a practical, step-by-step guide whose thought-provoking principles and strategies, though they were written in 1910, are still very much applicable to this day. And probably more so.

I'm a firm believer in the idiom that you are what you think. And this book drives that point home. So I highly recommend that your read this book, which is brought to you free on this website.

Some chapters are separated into several pages for easier reading and navigation. At the bottom of each page, you will find on the left links to other pages. On the right are links to the next chapter.

Happy reading!

"The men and women who practice the foregoing instructions will certainly get rich, and the riches they receive will be in exact proportion to the definiteness of their vision, the fixity of their purpose, the steadiness of their faith, and the depth of their gratitude."
– Wallace D. Wattles

I read the 17 chapters (”The Science of Getting Rich” above) one rainy afternoon,…I was trying to read this with an open mind and not make any snap judgements. When I finished I felt a sign of relief having gained a little more insight into the ‘big picture’ of so-called life…as if I was lead to this particular page by no accident. I came away thinking maybe, just maybe, our personal thoughts do carry more weight than we really know. It made me think of the reference in the bibble where children use to write things in the sand and their parents would admonish them for thinking ‘evil thoughts’. Looking back throughout periods of my life, it dawned on me…their was a MESSAGE…I just didn’t see it clearly. Lesson learned…dont entertain negative thoughts or they become reality. They block your access to creative forces/intelligence (God). Focus only on the positive in the ‘now’ stage…not past or future. Do your best in all you do, and opportunities will present themselves to you. Funny how this article was written in the early 1900s, but it’s still as relevant today. Maybe time does stand still in some respects. We can learn from those who came before us. Interesting stuff for sure! Maybe someone else reading this will feel the same. It helped me; maybe it can for you too. If God created the universe, surely He has the instruction manual on how to use it somewhere. Could this be it?

This was a fantastic read. I had this book marked from some time ago and just happened to click on that link tonight. Very timely reading moving into the New Year.

I completely agree with Wattles teachings, especially regarding the competitive mindset versus the creative mindset. Wattles teachings greatly parallel my all time favorite “Think and Grow Rich” as well as the abundance economy as taught by Paul Zane Pilsner.

I’m recommending “The Science of Getting Rich” for my team. This really needs to be read several times over for the full import to sink in.

I’ve read Claude Hopkins “Scientific Advertising” as well. I believe it was Gary Halbert who recommended that book be read several times over.

Each decade it seems that this book is re-written. I like reading the older versions of this message to see how the writer talks about the current events of the time. It gives me perspective on contemporary events–this too shall pass.

What is best about this message is that it applies to anything we want, love, joy, health–as any 12-stepper will tell you, you can have what you say. I’m sure Bill B. had read this book.

It is indeed a truly great book! We are what we think we are and we can become what we want to be.
