After 12 long years of working seven days a week, I’ve made a decision. I’m taking tomorrow off.

Sounds strange? Well, I’ve had vacations. Many of them. And I’ve taken half-days off, here and there. Sometimes, I’ve even taken whole days off. But I would still check my email in the morning, or return to my computer at night.

Aside from my vacations, I’ve not taken an entire day off in over a decade. I mean, a full 24 hours without doing any work, including using the computer even if it’s to surf the web.

My wife and I are finally heeding to some very powerful advice from James Brausch about taking an extra day off to earn more money. In fact, James was pointing out a blog post by Terry Dean, a person I admire and follow closely.

Back to the grindstone and back to work!

Tons of stuff coming, too, including two new products! A software and an infoproduct on marketing for copywriters. (Don’t tell anyone! And also, don’t forget, I’m speaking in Atlanta next month, too. If you sign up under me, I will give you a bunch of bonuses… Watch this space in a day or so.

Off to sunny Cancun, Mexico, for a much-needed 2-week vacation. (You know, since I officially “quit” soliciting for work on January 1st, my workload almost doubled. Ah, takeaway selling. Didn’t intend it that way, though.)

What you see, here, is an actual picture I took from last year’s vacation (same place, same resort). Gosh, I can’t wait to leave the cold, snowy north for the sunny beach, drinks with pretty little umbrellas and a few wonderful nights spent at the Karaoke bar.

So I’ll probably be posting some time during my vacation from a local Internet café — including something really interesting on eyetracking I just discovered. (It reveals some amazingly cool data you don’t want to miss!)
