I recently joined a new band. It’s not a pro­fes­sional band by any stretch (I mean, not one in the sense of gig­ging all the time). It’s a hobby of mine. I’m the drum­mer, and I love clas­sic rock.

And like most of the bands I join, I love design­ing their web­sites. And this one, Dig­gin’ For Hoffa, is no excep­tion. Just like my main site at Suc​cess​Doc​tor​.com, this site is entirely WordPress-​​driven, even though it’s not a blog.

But I’d like to ask you a favor, too…

So many peo­ple ask me, “Who designed your blog?” Or, “Where did you get that template?”

Obvi­ously, they do so because they want to copy it. They say they’ve looked for a tem­plate sim­i­lar to mine but were unsuc­cess­ful. Lit­tle do they know that I’ve designed it myself.

From scratch.

Using the Kubrick design (the default design with Word­Press), I used Adobe Pho­to­Shop to design the graph­ics, and tweaked and twid­dled with the CSS file until I got it right.

Con­se­quently, I felt it was time for a change…

I’ve been quiet lately for a num­ber of rea­sons. First, I’m bat­tling a really bad case of bron­chi­tis. It hit me so hard that I’ve lost my voice and been bed-​​ridden for the last week or so.

In fact, I not only had to can­cel numer­ous tele­sem­i­nars and con­fer­ence calls this week, but I was also in Atlanta to speak at a sem­i­nar yet stayed in my room most of the time to sleep. I only went down to the sem­i­nar room when I had to speak, and even then I was “heav­ily med­icated”. (I hope I didn’t slur too much!)

Nev­er­the­less, here’s another reason.
