Michel Fortin: If you look at the laws and rules and all that wonderful stuff, they do exist for a purpose. And I understand that. But I also believe in education because the more you educate people the more you will change the world rather than forcing it to change. So, if you’re going to help out somebody in their own lives you need education. If you’re going to help out people to realize maybe they are bad people and they’ve done hurt to others education is the answer.

It’s not proselytizing. It’s not trying to argue with them. It’s just teaching them and teaching them until they’re ready to be taught and they’re ready to change. I’ve met a lot of people who change their lives because they’ve learned and they’ve decided to learn and that’s the key. Education is probably the most profound answer I can give to that question. It’s just education.

I come from a family of 6 girls. When we sat around the dinner table, we had to raise our hands if we wanted to say something — not because we were repressed, but because we were almost irrepressible!

After a day of school and play, we were all busting with news, feelings, opinions and plans.

What a clever dad. His unwritten rules prevented chaos. They also gave Lesley, the comparatively shy one, her chance to talk.

• Rule 1: Take turns.
• Rule 2: Don’t be mean.
• Rule 3: Listen to others.
• Rule 4: Don’t hog more than your share of the time available.

As you might have seen on some blogs, people have “guest” bloggers replacing them while, say, they’re on vacation or a trip.

You’ve probably seen this on my friend Brian Clark’s blog or others, of late. And I really like this, since it keeps the blog going without interruptions.

Well, I’m not going on vacation. But I will be incognito for a while as my wife and I move into a new home starting next week, until the end of the month (and give or take another couple of weeks in August to settle in).

I’m sitting here in the honeymoon suite, enjoying breakfast with my beautiful bride on this, our second day as Mr.and Mrs. Fortin.

We’re still in complete awe of that most beautiful day. And I can’t wait to share that day with you. So I’ve posted pictures for you to see.

These candid photos were taken by guests who were gracious enough to send them over to me. While they may be candid, they give you a pretty good idea of the immense beauty, overwhelming happiness and indescribable magic of that special day.
