My Favorite Copywriting Blogs

Glengarry Glen RossWhat seems to have exploded lately are blog networks and multi-author blogs. It’s part of the whole “social” concept that seems prolific in today’s Web 2.0 environment. Take Engadget.com, TechCrunch.com, Performancing.com and others.

Because of the trend, I decided to allow guest authors to post to my blog. (If you wish to contribute, you may contact me for details.)

Blogs are definitely in. And copywriting, advertising and selling in particular are blogs I’m very fond of. Beyond a typical “blogroll,” some people have asked me what blogs do I read on a regular basis.

Here’s a list of copywriting blogs I have in my RSS feed reader (of course, I read blogs on other topics, too, but these are about copywriting specifically). I highly suggest that you visit the following blog and subscribe, at least to their RSS feeds.

Maybe next week I’ll post my favorite non-copywriting blogs, such as Web 2.0 stuff, marketers, technology and bloggers (who blog about blogging!). Stay tuned…

  • It looks like you are using WordPress as your blogging platform. You guys should look into using Numly.com's blog copyrighting services for your content. They have a WordPress plug-in that automatically registers your posts with Numly for copyright either All Rights Reserved or Creative Commons licenses and embeds the Numly Number directly into your blog post with the verification link. In addition to protecting your copyright, this service also seems to work against sploggers.

Thanks very much for mentioning my blog on you esteemed list.

    All my best!

  • Wow ! What a great resource. Thanks and I've subscribed to the new blog.
  • Michel, thanks for a great list!

Added several new blogs to my "must-read".
  • That's gold, Michel.

I've just added a whole bunch of them to my bookmarks.

  • Thanks for the mention Michel, and also for a few additions to the feed reader. :)
  • Thanks, everyone.

Here's a little "by the way." My "business" feed reader is actually divided into 5 parts... 1) Copywriters, 2) Marketers, 3) Bloggers, 4) Designers and 5) Miscellaneous (like Programmers, Testers, Corporate, etc). I just might share the others in the coming weeks.

    What do you guys think?
  • Multi-author blogs are great fun and an excellent marketing tool. It also takes off the pressure on being the smart one all the time. ;-)

Yes please, share your other faves.

Hey Michel, I really appreciate you mentioning my blog. I actually consider it kind of an honor that a guy like you reads it. You're one of the few people who I always learn something new from everytime you write. And I can think of few people who have as much overall class as you do.

Anyway, I really appreciate you plugging my blog publicly like this.

    Thanks!
  • Really, it's my pleasure, Ben. Your blog rocks!
  • Michael,

Thank you for including me in such an awesome list. I'm shocked, actually.

This just goes to show how powerful "giving away" information can be as a marketing tool. I have learned so much from you and the others on this list as we all gernerously share what we know.

Several of these folks are already on my "read every day without fail" list, and now I have added the others to my list as well.

  • Brilliant list, thanks for posting it Michel!
An overwhelming amount of great content :-)

  • Thank you for this interesting list - but the CopywritersBlog.com link redirects to this website. Is that supposed to happen?

We have a good free resource for copywriters too. If you're a freelance copywriter looking for work, you can ask to join our database and I can pass on work to you (for free, no strings!).
