Gary Halbert And Michel Fortin… Part Deux

barricade Gary Halbert And Michel Fortin... Part DeuxThe last two weeks have been nuts. So I haven’t had the chance to post much. After writing Frank Kern’s salesletter for his big Underachiever Mastery launch last Sunday working almost the entire time while at Stephen Pierce’s seminar in Detroit, barricading myself in my hotel room, it’s been more than crazy.

It’s been insane!

In fact, I promised a friend of mine in Windsor (Rick Beneteau) to visit him while down there, but Frank’s letter was such a huge affair, I had no choice. I was stuck. And now, I’m exhausted. (And that doesn’t count the fact that I’m writing two other big projects — one for John Reese, and another for Armand Morin.

But now that the bigger dust has settled, let’s roll.

First, the good news. Gary Halbert and I are going to conduct a second call on writing effective copy that sells. (“This time,” Gary snickers, “I’ll actually answer questions.”)

Mark your calendar! It’s on…

… February 10th, 2005, which is Thursday, at 9 PM Eastern. The call is 2 hours long (maybe a little bit more), and there’s absolutely NO guarantee that te MP3s will be posted.

So be there or be square.

But, to be on the call and get a special phone number and PIN emailed to you — it’s totally free this time, too, and I will be emailing the numbers early next week! — you MUST be registered on my notification list by clicking here.

By the way, will I see you in Las Vegas?

In 2 weeks, I will be in Las Vegas delivering an amazing, one-of-a-kind seminar with David Garfinkel on “Breakthrough Copywriting.” Sure, I will offer tons — yes, tons! — of copywriting tips and tricks. (I even plan on deconstructing the Frank Kern letter at the seminar, step by step, and reveal a few little secrets, too.)

But more important, this seminar is about the power of telling compelling stories, psychology and overcoming writer’s block and crashing down barriers that are stopping you from not only writing killer copy but also making the money you truly deserve.

We also offer payment plans. And David will have my hide for this, but David is also offering a free affiliate program with a very generous commission structure. (He wanted to keep this private, but I’m offering it here.) You can even use it to cover the cost of your tuition. How? By simply selling 3-4 seats.

(Keep in mind, this is NOT a seminar per se. It’s a workshop. It’s limited to 40 students only, with over 10 faculty members and a few adjunct faculty, including Brian Keith Voiles and Carl Galetti — 2 other great copywriters!

For more, visit here: BreakthroughCopywriting.com

Want to help us promote the seminar and get paid for your successful referrals? Just contact me with your information and I’ll have David set you up. (I’ll deal with David ;) ).

  • Hey there Michel,
Enjoyed visiting with you in Detroit.

I just want to reiterate to everyone who might read this that they would be OUT OF THEIR MINDS to miss your conference in Vegas.. I'll be there along with one of my partner/ copywriters.

After talking to David and you I can say with utmost sincerity that this workshop will absolutely blow every single other copywriting conference out of the water.

Of course the best parts of the weekend will be after the classroom doors are closed and the 50 of us are in the bar :-) I've picked up more than one tip from you and David over a glass of "Alchy"

Just thought I would tip my hat.

    -Eric

P.S. If anyone needs more convincing or info, feel free to email me. I really do believe in this event, it should break through any barriers we have thrown up in our business and allow us to blow through any profit problems we are currently having! eric@askmylist.com
  • As people will no doubt know by now Michael's letter for Frank and I did an outstanding job. If you can catch Michael speaking anywhere - you would do well to be there.

    Ed

It's always good to listen to Halbert as well!!
  • You're too kind, Ed. Thanks man.
  • The copy was tremendous and the headline is the best I can remember seeing for some time.

Congratulations on a fine letter, Michel.

  • Of course - I just caused great offense by using the anglosized version of your name!!!

    DOH!

    Ed "Uneducated Drongo" Dale
  • Eduard (french version), that's fine. Even my totally french parents called my Mike or Michael as a nickname all my life, so I'm used to it :)

Yes, it was a good letter, but I can't take full credit. Many bits and pieces were pre-written, including chunks (like bullets) from the first letter written by Frank himself -- dammit, Frank Kern is one heckuva copywriter!
  • Barry Sindlinger
Remind me - what was the Headline? [I printed the letter out, but I can't seem to FIND it right now!] ;(
  • "After the feds crushed and publicly humiliated him, outlaw marketer thumbs his nose at the internet marketing gurus and uncovers a radically unconventional approach that's so wildly successful, it leaves them red in the face"

I don't mean to tease anyone, but it's even better with the pre and post headline.

  • Dear Michel Fortin,

    Greetings from Japan.

Thank you for hosting another great call with Mr. Gary Halbert. As someone who is now making his living from his online ventures, I've started trying to learn as much about copywriting as possible. Your past two interviews (including today's) with Mr. Halbert were a great source of both ideas and motivation for me.

    *Much Appreciated*

    Sincerely,

    James B. Allen
