Clean Copy Right And Full WordPress Themes

Clean Copy Right and Full free WordPress themesLast month, I released a WordPress theme that mimics my blog design, Clean Copy. It has a left sidebar and the same font and color scheme as my own blog at MichelFortin.com.

Thank you to everyone who downloaded it!

However, since then a lot of people have requested the right-sidebar version (I recommend the right for SEO purposes). And I also thought about a full, double-sidebar version, with one on each side.

So I decided to hire Cory Miller once again, a talented theme designer whom I highly recommend, to design them. And, he did it. Introducing…

1. Clean Copy WordPress Right Theme

Clean Copy Right is a simple, two-column, crisp, blue and white theme designed for blog content with the professional in mind, and the sharp simplicity based on the Clean Copy theme.

If you want to see it in the WordPress Theme Gallery, click here.

Here’s a screenshot of the theme:

Key features of this theme:

  • Two column theme, right sidebar;
  • Medium blue and white colors;
  • Five randomized header graphics;
  • WordPress 2.x Widget ready;
  • Crisp layout with good white space.

You can download it here. Or you can view a demo.

If you know a bit about graphic design, changing the header graphic to something more custom is easy as 1-2-3. You just design it (860 x 200 pixels) and replace it with the ones in the theme’s image folder.

This is also the theme’s support-related post. Please report all theme-related problems, bugs, or issues here or by submitting a support ticket.

2. Clean Copy WordPress Full Theme

Clean Copy Full (Dual Sidebars) is a simple, three-column, crisp, blue and white theme designed for blog content with the professional in mind, and the sharp simplicity based on the Clean Copy theme.

If you want to see it in the WordPress Theme Gallery, click here.

Here’s a screenshot of the theme:

Key features of this theme:

  • Three column theme;
  • Both left and right sidebars;
  • Medium blue and white colors;
  • Five randomized header graphics;
  • WordPress 2.x Widget ready;
  • Crisp layout with good white space.

You can download it here. Or you can view a demo.

Again, as with both themes, you can change the header graphic to something more custom. Just design it (860 x 200 pixels) and replace it with the ones in the theme’s image folder.

This is also the theme’s support-related post. Please report all theme-related problems, bugs, or issues here or by submitting a support ticket.

  • Thank you so much for the templates! I had noticed that your blog, as well as Armand's and Alex's all had a nice, clean look. This was the look I wanted for myself as well as recommend to those I coach.

    I just sent a notice to my list to come take a look and take advantage of your generous offer.

    Thanks again!
    Linda
  • This is so wonderful, Michel! I downloaded the 3-column version and it's now running. Thanks.
  • Hi Michel,

    I just got a new blog up and running. I've been searching the web for a suitable theme and I was getting tired of looking until you released Clean Copy! Just the theme I am looking for. Thanks a lot.

    I have a question though. Does it have a "Read the rest or post a comment" link on the index page for every post like yours? Cos it seems like the whole post will be viewed on the index page

    Thanks
    Andrew
  • @Andrew:

    Yes. This is handled by adding the "more" tag in your post where you want your post to "cut off" on the index page.
  • I really like your theme, Michel. BTW, you are a good designer. Your own blog is awesome.
  • Thanks very much Michel!

    I always wanted a blog that look just like yours for a long time and here it is.

    Excellent

    These are excellent themes in terms of showing clean designs. Good job. I would be interested in seeing modified versions of the themes in wider format (i.e. wider hortizontally) to give the content a larger screen space.

    Take care.
  • Great Article! I love clean styles and this is just what every blogger needs.. white space and less images, excellent!
  • Thanks so much for this, I really like the clean look. Click my name if you want to see it in action.

  • Thanks for the theme! It had the the crisp design and slightly more than minimalist look I was hoping for. I wanted a theme where the pages are a horizontal menu at the top and there they are! I just switched over and with a few edits of the CSS and the header.jpg file, it looks fantastic. Thanks again.
  • Hi

    I'm worried about duplicate content within the "tag" pages. How do I change it so that just an excerpt is shown rather than the whole post.

    To see what I'm talking about, see this page:

    http://www.naturalhealthremedies.org/tag/exercise

    The only other option I have is to block the tag folder in robots.txt.

    Thanks

    April
  • April,

    There are two ways of doing this. First, within the post you can add the "more" tag in the location you feel appropriate (this is what I do on this blog). The tag looks like this:

    <!--more-->

    Alternatively, you can change this:

    < ?php the_content() ?>

    To this:

    < ?php the_excerpt() ?>

    This will pull the post's excerpt, either the expert you entered in the excerpt form when you wrote your post, or the first 200 characters of the post, instead of the full article.
  • This is a great, sleek template! I am, however, having problems removing the blog title. I've gotten all kinds of advice from the WordPress reference guide and other online forums but nothing works. How do I supress or hide the blog title so that it does not show up on top of my new image?
  • I get so many great ideas from your blog and your site. Your template -- which I use -- is just one example among many. Thank you for them all!
  • Who doesn't love classic cars? Seems everybody does and hollywood has jumped on the bandwagon too. You see them in just about every movie and TV show now.

    Just a quick thanks for a great template and the generosity to share - love your blog, one day I will able to afford you to help me with my copy!

    ahh its not in the Theme Directory anymore...or at least I cant find it by the links or searching the site.
  • Anyone know how to download either of these WP themes? The download links go to Wordpress and nothing shows up when searching for theme 3660 or 3665

    Thanks,
    Mike
  • You can find two of these themes at Cory Miller's Site: http://corymiller.com/free-wordpress-theme/clea...

    Hope this helps,
    Steven
  • Can someone share with me why I can't go directly to download this theme above when clicking on the link to download. It goes to wordpress themes and I have yet to find Michael's there. Thanks in advance!
