Are You a Lazy or Me-Too Marketer?

Are You a Lazy or Me-Too Marketer?

imsins Are You a Lazy or Me Too Marketer?Part #2 of my wife’s shocking exposé, Internet Marketing Sins covering five more sins, is finally out.

It took a bit longer this time, and Sylvie explains why in the report.

Once you read this second installment and some of the shocking revelations it makes, you’ll soon understand why. Because in it, she exposes some of the more devious, cunning, and toxic behaviors and destructive personality traits we see online today.

(The section on Cult Leaders is pretty fascinating, too. There’s some pretty harsh stuff in there, and some of it might seem very familiar to you.)

But it’s not all doom and gloom. You’ll also be in for a good laugh, too.

Have you ever seen Jeff Foxworthy do his “You might be a Redneck” skit? Well, Sylvie did her own with lazy marketers. And they’re all 100% true. As the outsourcing provider to many marketers, she’s seen her fair share of corner-cutting tactics.

The report is available on the download page of the initial report. If you haven’t signed up already, then I suggest that you do.

Go now and download part #2 of InternetMarketingSins.com.

  • Michel, I just read the report a few hours back, and thought it was NOT as good as Part 1. The reason for it came through right at the end, and does indeed explain the WHY. Worth reading for the powerful message it shares, though I wish it had been a 'bit' shorter :-)

    All success

  • I applaud Sylvie for being right on-target with a lot of her comments... very insightful, sometimes painfully honest, things we *need* to hear as a community. :) (It's likely that many fellow marketers can see ourselves in at least a few of the comments she's made, and of flaws we should change in ourselves (at least I did!), and improve upon.).

Points about piggyback marketers, cult leaders vs good teachers (particularly solid observation in the subhead about freebies crafted to make him look smarter than you/positioning), sharks,
and guru bashers (which I was, years ago, before maturing).. and more.

Well done! I think it's a very candid look at the dysfunctional behavior many engage in, and can be used as a self-checklist to help improve one's own character, and recognize the truth of situations as one comes upon them.

This needed to be said. As the saying goes, a "checkup from the neck up". Thanks for keeping it real. Very well done.

  • @Ken Calhoun - "A Checkup From The Neck Up" I love it! LOL

Thank you for your support, Ken! Truly appreciated!
  • @Dr.Mani - Yes, I do tend to be wordy. :) Won't apologize for it, though. Michel often tells me to be more pithy, but my writing style has always been this way, and when I spend too much time trying to be perfect, it never gets done.

Same thing with my http://www.BreastCancerVictory.com blog. I could have made each entry shorter, but then I wouldn't be...well...uniquely me. :)

Thanks, though. I appreciate all comments, critical and otherwise.
  • Thanks Sylvie for another great unique report pointing out some of the most important concerns in the IM world.

It's amazing that finally one person was brave enough to say something out loud. :)

I usually don't talk about Internet marketing stuff in casual friendly casual gatherings, but focus on fun non-business topics.

But Sylvie's report was so interesting and unique that I couldn't resist talking about it, and excitedly recommended it to some of my friends.

Especially because I knew some of them were using some the tricky methods that Sylvie had pointed out in the report.

So then they were excited too and went to check out your report. Hope we all apply full integrity in our IM world online.

  • Thank you Sylvie and Michel, once again for an awesome condensation of the truth about marketing. Too bad this is not required reading in business schools, but I digress. I have been a software engineer for 23 years and have been working for 6 months on a product - I loved the me-too marketer because it is so true! To be a true "guru" you must work, work, work, and when you feel like laying down, you get up anyway and work some more. Sure, we all get where we are by standing on the shoulders of those who came before us, but we are kidding ourselves if we don't do our due diligence. Thank you!
